The Absolute Karate – Applications of Kyokushin
The absolute Karate ISBN 91-630-3486-7 Published 1995
Karate has become very physical over the past decade, we have neglected many things, the moral aspects, discipline, respect, honor, manners those things that help make karate. Ki and tanden, because they are abstract are also ignored, anything that is to difficult to understand is pushed to the side, in favour of the easy way out. This book is not about how to be a black belt or what techniques you need to know for the next grade, it’s about Kyokushin Karate the style I practice and the way I see it.
The Absolute Kumite (available for streaming)
The Absolute Kumite Produced 1994, language english, 22 minutes.
The aim of the kumite DVD is to introduce you to some basic Kyokushin kumite techniques. It is not about fighting, it is about enjoying Kyokushin. This DVD also include live action-flashes from the past when I won the European Championship 1978.
The Five Pinans of Kyokushin
The Five Pinans of Kyokushin Produced 1999, language english, 10 minutes.
The kata DVD shows you the five pinan kata of Kyokushin. To be able to perform good kata is very difficult even after years of hard training, so be patient. Because of our individual physical differences some techniques in the kata may be performed a little differently from individual to individual. The important thing is to try and achieve a balance between your mind and body, peace and harmony.
