I was watching a TV programme about why and how we became a society of consumers. It seems that we get tired of things quickly, we are led to believe that we need something new. The mobile market is a good example, you should always have the newest mobile phone because it gives you xxxxxx. Throw out that old piece of furniture and buy the latest and so on.
What has this to do with karate you may ask? Well, are you a grading consumer, think about the comparison, you get one colour belt and soon after, someone will ask you what colour belt do you have, not what grade you have. So you start on the path to get another colour your a consumer of grades.
Sorry that the blog is a little philosophical, I hope you understand my comparison. I hope you all enjoyed your holidays.
