Just a thought…
This time of year in most dojo’s students are thinking about their grading. I imagine that for most dojo´s the grading is sometime in December just before the holidays. I do not want to talk about the club grading but about Kyokushin groups accepting grades from other groups.
Sometimes we have people who have obtained their black belt in another Kyokushin organization and for some reason they want to change to another organization and this is where the problem starts. Having a black belt from one organization does not mean it has the same value in another. So when they are told that they must take their grading again, two things happen they say Osu which is the correct attitude or they join another Kyokushin organization where their grade is accepted without question.
There are some who walking around with a high grade who left the SKK (Swedish Karate Kyokushin Organization) to join another group. A short while after they obtain a higher grade. What excuse do they give themselves in order to accept their new grade?
